Sterling Residential Baseboards Sterling produces several different residential baseboard brands, and is one of the largest baseboard manufacturers in the country. Sterling brands include Kom-Pak, Suntemp, Petite, Heatrim and DesignLine. Its Westfield manufacturing facility has the capability of producing over 160,000' of baseboard per week. The baseboard is produced in different outputs, both high and standard outputs as well as a low profile baseboard. One of the options on the high output baseboard is to remove the damper and install an aluminum extruded grille which gives the baseboard an architectural appearance; this product is called "Classic". Sterling also produces DesignLine baseboard which is truly unique in that it is all extruded aluminum with die cast accessories and optional colors. All these baseboards are manufactured in the Westfield, MA plant. All Sterling baseboard elements are mechanically bonded and this is achieved by expanding the copper tube so that there is a tight bond between the copper tube and the collar of the aluminum fins. This process is unique to Sterling. Sterling sells its baseboard products worldwide. Baseboard shipments in the northeast are normally transported in Sterling trucks to our distributor customers. Sterling takes the ultimate step in safeguarding its products during shipment to its distributors and eventually to its contractor customers by installing styrofoam blocks between the front cover and the element and brackets. The styrofoam blocks safeguard the baseboard product during shipment. All Sterling residential baseboard products are sold through plumbing and heating wholesale distributors throughout the United States. All Sterling baseboards are IBR tested and rated.
